The Jefferson Independent School District Board of Trustees will have their regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at the Administration Building.
Agenda items include:
- Consideration of Policy Amendments to EIC and FM (LOCAL) Policies
- FM is associated with student absences due to school-related activities. The old policy only took into consideration UIL-related absences. JISD does not make distinctions regarding school related absences associated iwth UIL or other school-sponsored activities. The text of the policy is being updated to reflect that practice.
- EIC is the way GPA and Class Rank is calculated. The policy was updated several years ago and students in the high school at the time were “grandfathered in” with the system they began in high school. Now all those students have graduated, the policy no longer needs to consider those students so the wording is being updated to reflect local practice.
