Rick Rowe with KTBS in Shreveport will be here the first week of March televising each day during the morning news.
A promotion Rick will be talking about is “Stay in one of Jefferson’s lodging establishments and receive coupons and gifts from Jefferson’s downtown merchants”. He will be encouraging viewers to shop and dine in Jefferson!
How it works: Guest checks in at lodging establishment in Jefferson. Guest takes lodging receipt (must be currently staying in Jefferson) to our tourism office and shows the receipt to Danielle or Zach and receives a swag bag with coupons and goodies from our merchants.
Why are we doing this promotion? Lodging tax pays for our advertising. The tourism department receives no other funding, so it is very important to promote overnight stays. But we also want to encourage all our overnight guests to shop and eat downtown. Gifts, goodies, and coupons from your store encourages guests to visit your store.
We hope this is a winner for everyone! Please drop off your goodies, gifts, and coupons at the tourism department before February 29th. We will be stuffing the swag bags before Rick arrives March 2nd.
