Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur ordered the closure of the Kellyville Community Center for 15 days starting Sunday, April 26, as a public safety measure following the center’s use as a COVID-19 testing site on Sunday.
“In the interest of the protection of the public health, Kellyville Park and Community Center will be closed at 6 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 2020,” according to an Executive Order issued Friday afternoon. The center and park will remain closed until 8 a.m. May 11, 2020.
The center is the location where a Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) Mobile Testing Team (MTT) will be conducing free COVID-19 testing for Marion County residents on Sunday.
The tests are free to Marion County residents, but must be scheduled in advance via a website (txcovidtest.org) or by calling the state at 512-883-2400.
