Marion County Seal

Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur renewed his Disaster Declaration due to “widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life, or property resulting from severe ice and snow storm” for the whole county today.

The declaration continues for seven days.

The declaration assists individuals and businesses in qualifying for relief funds as they become available.

LaFleur also called a special meeting on Thursday, February 25, at 9 a.m. to ratify the declaration. While the posting is less than the required 72 hours notice, as this is an emergency meeting, it is allowed under the Open Meetings Act.
