Disaster loans available to small businesses

Due to the recent winter storm 77 counties in Texas have been declared disaster areas including two of the counties served by the UT Tyler-Longview SBDC.  This affects contiguous counties, as well.  Please see the attached information.  Depending on the county in which your small business is located you may qualify for loans to cover physical damage to property and/or economic injury to your business.

Panola and Upshur Counties are part of the 77 county disaster declaration and small businesses may qualify for physical damage AND economic injury disaster loans.

Small businesses in Gregg, Harrison, Marion and Rusk Counties (contiguous counties) may qualify for economic injury loans ONLY.

Virtual Recovery Centers openned Tuesday, Feb. 23.

 The types of loans available are:

  • • Business Physical Disaster Loans
  • • Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL)
  • • Home Disaster Loans
