Jefferson Adopt-a-Cop program will hold their regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 30th, at the Historic Jefferson Railway Depot.
FRESH hosts Community
Celebration
Fresh and friends will be hosting A Community Celebration July 3 and 4th in Honor of Tonishea Thomas.
Everyone come out and show Toni and her family some love. All Donations are welcome.
Thomas was injured in an ATV accident several weeks ago and has been in the hospital since.
There will be Free food drinks, Kids entertainment, Cornhole, Dominoes, Spades, Horseshoes, Toni’s family will be selling fish plates.
Convention of States to Meet
The next monthly meeting of Convention of States Texas House Districts 5, 7 and 9 (in Senate District 1) will be held on Saturday, July 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Posada’s Cafe, 110 Triple Creek Drive, Longview, Texas 75601. Guest speaker will be Ann Rhea Hinds from Walkaway Texas Movement to discuss changing our culture from socialist to conservative. Host of the event will be Susan Hamilton, Convention of States Regional Captain for Senate District 1. Discussion and questions and answers will be held following the presentation.

Texas Master Naturalists offer Training Course
The Cypress Basin Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists is beginning a new training class August 20. The required 40 hours of training is spread over 4 months, one weekend a month (Friday 6-9pm and Saturday 9-5). Most classes will be held at the Corps of Engineers office at the dam of Lake of the Pines. Cost is $130 for an individual or $200 for a couple. Being a Master Naturalist includes volunteering to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and areas in East Texas.
