Citizen Action, Diversity Committee Meetings Postponed Due to COVID Concerns

City of Jefferson

Jefferson Mayor Rob Baker notified the Jimplecute today that the upcoming Citizen Action and Diversity Committee meetings will be postponed until further notice due to COVID-19 concerns being expressed by the Community.

Baker said he would meet individually with the subcommittees established at the inaugural meetings last month, and would report to the community as a whole on their progress.

“I’m not ready to stop in-person meetings for Council just yet,” Baker said. “But with the concerns that have been expressed this seems like the prudent thing to do at this time. There’s a public hearing on the 14th and Council on the 21st. Those will still happen.”

CAC was scheduled to meet on Thursday and Diversity the following week. Baker said he would announce new meeting dates at a later time.
