Marion County Sheriff Deputies arrested Stoney Joseph, Jr. Woodell at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2001
According to Marion County Sheriff David Capps, Woodell is a native of Oil City, Louisiana where he was wanted on several felony warrants.
In a press release issued last week, Capps said deputies were given a lead that Woodell was in Marion County.
Deputies followed the lead that led them to a residence in Marion County located on Hwy 49 East.
After a short search of the house, deputies found Woodell hiding in a closet.
Woodell was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail without incident, Capps said.
He is being held in the Marion County Jail for a warrant out of Red River Parish, Louisiana for theft over $25,000 (felon) as well as a warrant out of Caddo Parish for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (felony).
Woodell is awaiting arraignment.
