New retreat seeks logo submissions

A new retreat opening in Jefferson is looking marketing help before they open their doors. Lacewing Creative Retreat will open in Jefferson this summer.

Women crafting groups will soon have a new place to rejuvenate, laugh with the gals, be inspired, shop, and finally finish or start that hobby project. 

Before Lacewing can open though, they need you, or another talented artist you know, to design their logo. 

Entries are due by March 25 and the winner will receive a $300 price.

According to the website, the winner will receive a $300 check and a voucher for 50% off a single room rate from a Thursday to Sunday.

 Reservation dates are subject to availability.

Second and third runners-up will receive a voucher for 50% off a single room rate from a Thursday to Sunday.

Designs must be submitted by no later than the end of the day on March 25, 2022. 

The retreat owners will choose their top five picks. 

Those five picks will be announced on the retreat’s Facebook Page on March 2h, 2022. 

The Lacewing Facebook community will then vote on which design is to be the winner. 

Voting will close at the end of the day on April 8, 2022. 

The winner, second and third runners-up will be announced on the website and Facebook page on April 11, 2022. 

The public is invited to join the Lacewing Creative Retreat Facebook group and vote.

Contest rules are as follows: 

-Only one entry per person.

-Contest participants must release all rights to artwork and there be will no further compensation for use of the artwork. 

-Contest participants under the age of 18 must submit a signed release of artwork rights form by a parent / legal guardian. 

Logo design and submittal requirements include:

-Submit logo image in .jpg format, max file size 512 MB.

-Logo needs to be simple without a lot of tiny detail.

-Logo must include a Lacewing Butterfly (but not in orange/red), and it may be stylized.

-The design should feel feminine, relaxing, and creative / crafty.

-Cool / calming colors only: blue, pink, purple, green and white 

-The interior design of the retreat will lean toward French Country and Shabby Chic. Consider this in the logo design.

-Must be scalable from business card /website size up to building signage size 

-Logo must contain both image and the wording, “Lacewing Creative Retreat.” The two need to be easily separated from each other for multiple uses.

-Should likely be more horizontal in nature, so it will work well on a website 

Lacewing Creative Retreat seeks to be a ladies only retreat that will accommodate up to 13 women who wish to get away from the stress of day-to-day life for a relaxing weekend to complete or start their craft projects. 

Along to lodging and crafting space, the will also offer private massage room where you can have a registered massage therapist melt those anxieties away.

Each guest will have their own work space, which will include a five foot table, comfy office chair, adjustable lamp on each table, and much more. 

Guests can spread out your fabric, paper, jewelry or whatever your craft.
