Jefferson, Texas Adopt-A-Cop is a 501(c)3 organization in Jefferson with the mission of supporting all Marion County law enforcement officers by assisting with the out-of-pocket expenses for business equipment not covered by their employers. 

They support the Jefferson Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and officers dedicated to Marion County with DPS and Game Wardens.

Jefferson Adopt-A-Cop and Jefferson Community Law Enforcement Partnership are working together to invite the community to a free Meet and Greet at 4-7 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Jefferson Community Center, 501 Haywood St, Jefferson, TX.  

All are welcome.

The purpose of the Meet and Greet is for the community to meet Marion County Law Enforcement Officers and also for an introduction to other resources available in the county to help our citizens.  

There will be games and activities and a light meal will be served at 5:30.

Underwriting support for the event will be greatly appreciated. 

The JAAC will accept a cash donations or an in-kind donation for items mentioned below. 

All of which are tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.

They group also needs the following:

-One-Day Event Insurance Policy.

-One port-a-potty for the day.

-Assistance with supplying the food.  Any little bit will help.  The menu will include “walking tacos” for 100 people so groceries needed include small bags of Fritos or Doritos; hamburger meat and taco seasoning; shredded cheese and lettuce; chopped tomatoes and onions; large containers of hot sauce or individual packets; sour cream; cookies; bottled water; paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins or paper towels.
