Election Day: It is up to you

For over a year now, we the people have been gearing up for this day.  November 8, 2022 is Election Day in Texas and all across the United States.  This is the time that you get to make your voice heard.  Nobody else, including myself, can vote for you.  You are going to have to make the effort to get to the polls and vote.  I am encouraging you to vote Republican.

One reason I am asking you to vote Republican is obvious.  In the race for Governor, two-time failed candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, is a far left radical, whose political beliefs are out of touch with East Texas conservative values.  Like the majority of Democrats, he believes that the government exists to manage/control people’s lives.

Probably one of the biggest areas that makes him unfit for office is his view on life.  In 2021, Texas overwhelmingly passed the “Heartbeat Law”, with the provision that if the Supreme Court of the United States ever overturned Roe vs Wade, that the “trigger” would go into effect and outlaw abortion in Texas.  An estimated 40,000 preborn babies’ lives have been saved since in Texas.

O’Rourke has stated that regarding terminating a pregnancy up to birth, “that is a decision for the woman to make.”

He has repeatedly stated that he would work to overturn the Heartbeat Law in this state that many of you supported through our elected state leaders.  If you are a one issue voter, his ghoulish view on life itself is reason enough that he is unfit to serve as Governor.

That’s right Republicans.  If you are going to be pro-life, it’s time to publicly own it, and do so unapologetically.  I know I do.

As I wrote several weeks ago, he has flip flopped on the issue of the Second Amendment right to bear arms.

As a Presidential candidate, he said, “Hell yes we are going to take your AR-15.”  Then earlier this year, he stated, “I am not interested in taking guns away from people.”, because it was not politically advantageous at that time.

Then Uvalde happened and he was right back on track with wanting to take guns away.  All the while, he shows his gross ignorance of firearms themselves.

Beto has, and always will be, a political opportunist.  Why?  Because he wants political power.  He has campaigned and stated as much.  This is why he flip flops on everything.

The following verse from James 1:8 really is fitting:  “he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

Do you want such an unstable person sitting in the governor’s seat?  I hope that your answer is a resounding, “no”.

Republicans value all life, including those not born yet.  We believe that government interference in our daily lives does more harm than good.  The policies of Democrats, these last two years, have brought us record-setting inflation on groceries, gas, and other goods and services.

Remember how much the cost of gas has been for two years when you enter the voting booth, and remember that virtually shutting down our energy independence, and relying on foreign oil, was a Democrat policy put into place nearly immediately upon Biden entering office.

In the last election in 2018, when Beto was running for Senator, Marion County said “No” to Beto, and sent him packing with a 70% vote turnout for Republican Ted Cruz.  For Governor, Marion County voted 72% for Greg Abbott over the Democrat challenger Lupe Valdez.  Overall vote turnout was at 47% countywide.

Marion County, I am encouraging you to push that voter turnout to well over 50%.  Every Republican registered to vote needs to turn out on Election Day.  With over 7600 registered voters in Marion County, and likely the majority of them Republican, we can have a blowout of an election and send Beto and Democrats away for a third strike.
