What else would folks have to do on a rainy afternoon before a tornado showed up other than firing off a cannon?
At 5pm Thursday downtown Jefferson residents heard what May have sounded like transformers blowing across town.
But it was Tom Moss, David Durocher, and a number of onlookers firing off Moss’ replica of the “Come and Take it” cannon.
Moss plans on donating the cannon to the county.
The cannon was fired 10 times in celebration of Texas Independence Day
