Jefferson AARP members got lots of good information on opportunities, services, and gardening advice during this month’s regular meeting. Gail Thomas and Karen Corpier, with Cross Threads, spoke on the involvement Cross Threads does for the community totally dependent on donations! They strive to help Foster children/families, CASA and anyone with basic needs in the local community. Doug Weir spoke on “ basic management for a spring garden”. Douglas Thompson, of Medicare Insurance Store, spoke on Medicare insurance coverage, the pros and cons with different insurance companies and just helpful hints that senior citizens need to know before they choose their coverage. The group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Kellyville.
