Staff Reports

Due to a schedule change, see elsewhere in this issue, the deadline for ads in the 2023 Jefferson Athletic Booster Club Football Program has been extened to 5 p.m. Monday, August 7.

Jefferson Athletic Director Antwain Jimmerson rescheduled the required Football Parent’s Meeting to immediately following the Intra-Squad Scrimmage.

“I wanted to give more parents the opportunity to attend, and to boost attendance at the scrimmage,” Jimmerson said.

Part of the meeting is used to distribute the advertising information to parents. The change in the meeting, required the deadline to be extended.

“We’re on a very tight schedule this year,” said Jimplecute publisher Hugh Lewis. “In order to get the programs back before the first home, pre-district game on August 25th, I have to send the programs to the printer on August 9. So, there is no possiblity for late ads this year.”

The program is a fundraiser for JABC and the proceeds go towards their work in supporting all athletic players and scholarships.

For more information, or to place an ad, contact Lewis at the Jimplecute at JeffersonJimplecute@gmail.com, call the office at 903-665-2462, or drop by the office at 115 N Polk Street.

Rates start at $75. The full color book is 8.5×11 and usually around 60 pages.

“This is a great way to show your support for the Bulldogs, and promote your business at the same time,” Lewis said.
