City of Jefferson

The City of Jefferson will old a Townhall meeting at 6:30p next Tuesday, August 21, at the Jefferson Visitor’s Center to discuss the potential amount City water rates will be increasing to cover the expected increase from NETMWD for treated water.

NETMWD will be on hand to present their increase, and show how those increases will impact residents of the City.

Jefferson Mayor Rob Baker pointed out during Tuesday’s regular Council meeting, that only a small portion of resident’s water bills will be increasing.

“It’s not that your water bill is going up by 76%,” Baker said. “We want to have all the facts on the table so everyone understands how much their bill will be going up, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there right now.”
