Jeeps of all ages and sizes will be jumping into downtown this weekend for the first Jefferson Jeep Jam.
The event will start at 5:30p in front of the Jefferson General Store on Friday and then have a 40-mile ride around the area.
“This is our first attempt to do one in Jefferson,” said coordinator Hollis Shadden. “Jefferson is a cool place to go full of history and, we’re event friendly, so it just seemed like a natural fit.”
Folliwng the Friday evening ride, they’ll line-up on Austin street and have a light show.
Saturday will continue the fun with Jeeps lining up on Austin street for a “Show and Shine.”
Shadden said he’s hoping for about 100 jeeps, or more, for their inaugural event.
Big Cypress Corvette Club is sponsoring the event. Proceeds from the event will go to the Backpack Program in Jefferson.
