Lois Ernesteen Randolph

August 9, 1929-August 14, 2023

Mrs. Lois Ernesteen Randolph went to Glory on August 14, 2023. Mrs. Lois, as she was affectionately called, was born on August 9, 1929, to Lee and Ozie Taylor.  She was a native Jeffersonian, graduating from Central High School in 1946, and continuing her education at Tyler Barber College in Tyler, Texas. She was a Master Barber for 52 years.

Mrs. Lois leaves to mourn, her two daughters, Peggy Bluitt and Bobbie Washington. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren – Tanyika (Samuel) Woodberry, Kimbra (Karl) Frison, and Jarriet (Ria) Bluitt; 11 great-grandchildren – Shauntrice, Samiel, Saniya, Sierra, Samuel, and Shanice Woodberry; Favion Washington; D’Micah and D’Kayla Cuthbertson; and Kamryn, Jackson, and Jamieson Bluitt; and two great-great-grandchildren – Devonee Cuthbertson and Akira Woodberry.

Mrs. Lois was very active in her community and church. She was recognized for her devotion and dedication to the Froggtown community and was selected to serve as the Grand Marshal for the Annual Froggtown Reunion Parade in 2022. She received several awards for her service to her beloved church, St. Paul United Methodist Church.  She faithfully served in various capacities: United Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) volunteer, Sunday school teacher and secretary, church clerk, United Methodist Women, Administrative Council, and choir.

Mrs. Lois’ death marks the end of a life but leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her children, family, community, and church.

Services for Mrs. Lois Randolph,94, of Jefferson, Texas will be  2p.m. August 26 at the Jefferson Junior High School Auditorium.

Mrs. Lois was born August 9, 1929 and transitioned August 14, 2023 peacefully surrounded by beloved family members.

Mrs. Randolph was 94 years old.
