Street Closures set for Tractor Show

Downtown Jefferson will be filled with the sounds of hard working machines next Saturday, as more than 100 antique tractors show are on display to show how farming evolved.

The usual downtown streets will be closed starting Friday morning and include parts of Austin, Vale, Lafayette, and Walnut. Streets are scheduled to reopen Sunday morning, but may reopen earlier as they are no-longer in use.

The event will also include Slow Tractor Race, Tractor Parade, Stationary and Working Exhibits and a Swap Meet.  This is a great event for the entire family.  Be sure to bring out the grandparents!  The event is free of charge for exhibitors, swap meet vendors and the public.  

Early registration for participants will be from 11a-8p Friday, , on the corner lot next to the General Store.

Saturday registration for participants will be from 7-10a.

The Show opens to the public at 10a on Saturday morning and will close at 2p. 

 The Tractor Slow Race will be at 11a, and the Tractor Parade will be at 1p.

Bring your RV or tent camp at Diamond Don RV Park just a short one mile from Jefferson, on the Big Cypress Bayou, keeping you close to the action.  Beautiful wooded sites with lots of wildlife. Many of the RV sites have views of the Big Cypress Bayou.  Free WIFI, showers, rest rooms and dump station. Launch your kayak or canoe right from the park.  Enjoy fishing off the banks of the river.
