My dad, Jose “Joe” Galvez Castro, passed away peacefully in our home here in Jefferson, Sunday September 10, 2023.

My dad leaves behind his sister Antoina; eight children Ally, Saco, Rosa, Peter, Lulu, Gigi, Rosemary, and Jose Jr.; 65 grand and great-grandchildren; goddaughter Kaizie Houston; and his longtime fur baby Bubbles. He loved his family and friends dearly.

My dad was a social butterfly, who had lots of friends here in Jefferson, Los Angeles and Washington state. He really had a special spot for any of the ladies he met, and went out of his way to make each and every one of them feel beautiful. He enjoyed working as a landscaper or anything with his hands. His favorite pastime was being with family, enjoying his Budweiser beer while listening to the golden oldies. He is so loved and will be greatly missed.

His wish was to be laid to rest with his mama Rosie Castro in Paloma, Calif.

We are asking for donations to help with all the final expenses and to honor my dad’s burial wishes.

Donations can either be sent to the family’s GoFundMe page at: https://gofund.me/8613c626 or can be sent to Ally’s cash app $AllyHauptman

Services are pending and notification will be made as soon as possible.

Thank you all for the donations, prayers and wishes and for loving my dad, Ally Hauptman
