Staff Reports

The City received the final judgment in their case with former police chief Jason Carroll on  November 1.

In summary, the City was found to have violated the Open Meetings Act, and the discharge of Carroll was voided. As such, the City is required to reinstate Carroll as “an officer (not as Chief)” effective as soon as he reports for duty, at the salary and benefits he was receiving in June 22, 2020.

The City is also required to pay $75,000 in attorney’s fees to Carroll.
