First thing, Mrs. Stebbins’ name is Georgianna, not Georgette.
I am the precinct chair for precinct 6 Marion County.
Before the official date to be the new county chair, 6/17, the precinct chairs received an invitation to the organizational meeting on 6/27/2024. On 6/27/2024 we were presented with a FINAL agenda. No input was requested from the County Chairs for agenda items and no vote was taken on that agenda. When the meeting was called to order, Georgianna Stebbins, precinct chair 9, stood to make a motion to change the order of the agenda. Bonner ignored her and proceeded with the pledges to the USA and State of Texas. When those were completed, Mrs. Stebbins stood to make her motion a second time. Bonner told her there were “no motions on the agenda”. Agendas aren’t prepared with space for motions. AFTER the prayer, Mrs. Stebbins stood for a third time to make her motion. Bonner loudly stated that she was out of order and if she continued she would be removed from the meeting. Points of order were requested and ignored by Bonner. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting; 6 of 9 precinct chairs approved the motion. Prior to that Bonner appointed a Sergeant at Arms and instructed him to remove Mrs. Stebbins. Six precinct chairs left the meeting for fear of violence. There are several other points that could be made; however, I believe I have covered the most pertinent. The meeting was a disgrace thanks to Bonner’s bullying and threatening manner.
I read that Bonner was going to FORGIVE US! What a joke. If anyone deserves an apology it is the chairs of precincts 1, 3,4,6,7, 8, and 9 from Bonner for his total lack of respect for Robert›s Rules of Order and us as duly elected precinct chairs. He ran his campaign based on how he was going to unite the Marion County Republican Party. He has scheduled a meeting of the Republican Assembly, the organization he created when he was soundly defeated by Scott Stebbins for the county chair.
