Heaster, Shadden lead in early, absentee voting

Former Mayor Carey Heaster will return to the Mayor’s office later this month, as early and absentee voting put him with an unrecoverable lead over Doug Thompson and Hunter Mannies.

Heaster had 12 absentee votes, and 200 early voting votes, while Thompson had 10 and 58 respectively. Mannies had 1 and 47 votes.

In the race for Ward 1 Alderman, the race is still too close to call based on early and absentee voting. Incumbent Hollis Shadden had 6 absentee and 102 early voting votes, while Ted Dickson had no absentee, but 72 early votes. Amanda Limoges had 1 and 19 respectively.

Election Day saw 83 ballots cast. Those results are still pending.
