Tornado-like winds came across FM729 just west of the intersection with Tx49 uprooting and snapping off trees, and felling power lines about 5:30p.m. Thursday.
A National Weather Service Tornado Watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday evening.
As of 6p, no injuries and limited property damage had been reported.
Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur and Marion County Sheriff David Capps, along with other area law enforcement members were on sight assessing the damage and offering assistance as needed.
