SFA announces spring President’s Honor Roll
Stephen F. Austin State University recognized the outstanding academic achievements of a select number of students by naming 832 to the President’s Honor Roll for spring 2023. The following local students were named to the President’s Honor Roll:
- Stephanie Alvarez of Harleton
- Ladavion Johnson of Linden
- Skyla Speer of Harleton
To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll at SFA, the student must have earned a 4.0 semester GPA in 12 or more semester hours while a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student.
Foster heads to Marine Corps
2023 JISD graduate Tawny Foster headed off to the U.S. Marine Corps last Monday.
She had her official swearing in on Tuesday at Dallas MEPS, 9th BN, US Military Entrace Processing Command and entered boot camp at Parris Island in South Carolina.
