According to an email received late Saturday:
Hello,
At Brookshire Grocery Company, we are focused on building greater communities by being there for our neighbors not only during times of celebration but also during times of need. In an effort to support those affected by the recent storm, Brookshire’s is giving away a free bag of ice (while supplies last) to people who are without power starting at approximately 8 a.m. Sunday, June 18, at the following locations.
- Brookshire’s in Winnsboro: 212 E Coke Rd.
- Brookshire’s in Hawkins: 1477 N Beulah St.
- Brookshire’s in Mt. Vernon: 306 Hwy 37 S
- Brookshire’s in Jefferson: 404 E Broadway St.
In addition, BGC is deploying its Community Kitchen and a team of employee-partners to serve free hot meals while supplies last at the store parking lot at Brookshire’s in Mt. Vernon beginning at 11 a.m. Times are subject to change.
Thank you,
Morgan Jones
