Power Outages Updates 6/18 8:18p

• Brookshires is giving away 1 bag of ice to those without power in jefferson &Waskom starting at 8a Sunday.
• Jefferson transportation center is open 8-7 to cool off/charge phones
• Vmart has gas, pumps are running slow so be patient
• Swepco still says Friday officially areas are coming up as they can get substations repaired
• Upshur rural was at victory school road substation late yesterday. They will feed power once it’s up
• Two grids in jefferson out of 4 are up. Outage is outside of town and Swepco is spread thin.
• Bulldog pizza is cooking – to go only
• Auntie skinners is cooking – dine in or take out. Air is working
• Carriage house porch is available to charge phones after 10a Sunday
• City council meeting postponed until Thursday at this time.
• Texarkana is operating as business as usual. No idea on rooms but…
• Mims at 729 and victory school road will start handing out 1 case of water per car at noon
• City of jefferson as water at transportation center: 1 case per car. More is on the way too
• Bulldog Laurdramat is open for folks to cool off I.
• 10:45a Pcts 1, 2 & 4 dumps will be open 12-4 today and 8-4 following 6 days for fridge and freezer waste. Freezer and fridge waste will be free. Other bagged trash will require dump tickets as normal
• 3:52p Parts of town lost power again today. Bulldog and vMart are now closed
• 614p downtown grid came back on but areas on 59 and broadway appear to still be off.
• 8:18p Johnson’s creek and Brushy Landing will close tomorrow unless emergency needed. Talk to Corps directly
