Day 8. It’s now been a full week. The good news is that almost all of the County is back to having power. There are pockets however. I’ll continue to update this as we move forward through the day. Feel free to let me know if things available to help the situation.

Many of our customers will be requesting assistance from relief organizations or submitting a claim with their insurance. We are happy to provide an “outage notification letter” verifying their outage. Please have them call our customer service phone number 1-888-216-3523 and request an outage notification letter. This request will be forwarded to someone in our customer service team. They will verify the outage, and send the letter to the address on file.

- URECC Members: If you happen to see usage displaying in SmartHub on the full days you know you were without power, don’t panic! During an outage, the software may generate an estimated hourly or daily reading for display only. We do not bill off these readings. Your meter sends us a reading at midnight for all the usage that was actually recorded/metered over the last 24 hours. This is called registered usage which is what we do bill for. We understand that this can cause confusion, but please know that URECC strives to provide you with the most accurate information at all times.
