The first week of Christmas in Jefferson is in the books, but there’s still plenty of activities for the holiday season ahead.

The Historic Jefferson Foundation’s Candlelight Tour of Homes continues this Thursday, Friday and Saturday with four historic homes open for tour. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online or at the event.

There are lots of musical opportunities both this week and next including Marshall Symphony Orchestra’s Kermit Polling performing Tuesday, December 12 and Saturday December 16. Tuesday he and Charles Gilbert will be at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and Saturday at Christ Episcopal.

The “Sounds of the Season,” hosted by First Baptist Church, a local youth band directed by Gilbert, will perform starting at 6p December 15.

Jefferson’s Shirley Latham and Jennifer Campbell will perform at 4p December 17 at Cumberland Presbyterian as well.

All of the music events are free and open to the public.

Auntie Skinner’s will host their annual Toys for Tots benefit Friday, Dec. 8.
