It’s election season and candidates have filed for places on the ballot for the spring party primary elections.
Marion County Tax Assessor/Collector Karen Jones filed to run as an independent this election. She is unopposed on any party pimary. She has previously filed in the Democratic Party primary.
The only candidate filing for the Democratic Party primary was County Chair Jerry Smith.
The Republican Party primary will see both returning faces as well as some new ones as some offices become contested and current County Attorney Angela Smoak chose not to seek re-election.

- • Rosanne Bumgarner for Republican Precinct 3 Chair,
- • Ken Tomlinson for Republican Precinct 4 Chair
- • Zack Baldwin for Republican Precinct 5 Chair
