A graveside service for Bohn C. Butler, age 55 of Jefferson, Texas, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Damascus Cemetery in Lindale, Texas with Bro. Joe Chisum officiating.
Bohn passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Longview, Texas. He was born October 3, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. Bohn attended the University of Dallas and also attended the East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas and during that time developed his love for East Texas. Bohn moved from Dallas to Jefferson 10 years ago where he was the owner/operator of Bohn’s Gift Shoppe. He also worked in the travel industry as he also loved to travel the world. Bohn was a very talented music enthusiast and shared his talents at his church home, Church of Uncertain in Karnack, Texas and as a child sang in the youth choir at Royal Haven Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. As a true southern gentleman, Bohn loved to share and practice Christian values. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Hamilton Butler; grandfathers, Col. Thomas Fouts and Leroy Bohn Butler Sr; grandmothers, Maurine Bailey Butler and Martha Elizabeth Strader.
Bohn is survived by his spouse, Mario Salazar; parents, Butch and Jane Butler; niece, Makena Grace Butler; nephew, Austin Thomas Butler; and by numerous other loving family members and dear friends.
Family will receive friends at Damascus Cemetery from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
As a COVID-19 precaution, masks are required at all visitations and funeral services.
