June Meisenheimer passed away on June 15, 2021 at the age of 99 at her home in Lakeway, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Meisenheimer, her sister Patricia Potter,her brother Robert Ware, and her grandson Christopher Howard. She is survived by her two daughters, Glenda Stephens, Patricia Boesel, and her son, David Meisenheimer, Jr. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and many loved cousins and great nieces and nephews.
She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William and Bonnie Glendoa Ware. She was raised in Oklahoma and lived through the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. When she grew up she traveled the world with her husband to many exciting and exotic places including Iran,Lebanon, China, Egypt and Africa. During her husband’s career, they lived in Trinidad, West Indies, Zagreb, Croatia, and Lagos, Nigeria. She served as President of the American Women’s Club while living in Lagos, Nigeria. June and David Meisenheimer maintained a second home and maintained strong ties to the Jefferson community throughout their lives.
After retirement, they enjoyed their 28 years in Lakeway, making many new friends. She was a member of the Lakeway Church, The Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Mayflower Society.
