The Jefferson Bulldog basketball team is 7-3 on the season, most recently, coming off an 83-37 loss to Mount Pleasant Tuesday night.
Prior to that setback, the Dawgs went 2-1 over the weekend in The Rivercrest Tournament.
The lone loss there came in a heartbreaking 68-66 overtime final to the hosting Rivercrest Rebels.
Tournament wins came over Winnsboro (68-59) and Paris Chisum (73-56).
Jakardan Davidson, Ashton Williams and Chris Bowman each scored 17 points against Winnsboro.
Dylan Washington scored nine points.
Caden Rutz and Parker Grubbs each scored four points apiece.
Davidson and Washington received First Team All-Tournament honors.
Davidson led the attack against the Chisum Mustangs with 24 points. Bowman was close behind with 15 points.
Ross scored 12 points, Washington chipped in 11 and Rutz had four points.
Chris Love and Trenton Miles each scored two points.
The Bulldogs take to the road tonight against Sabine, Monday against Hook and Tuesday against Timpson.
The open district on New Year’s Eve at Waskom and their next home game will be at 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 4 against Troup.
