Love has various definitions. Everyone has their definition of love. Psychology explains love as “emotions, behaviors, passion, commitments.”
The University of Utah Health writes, “Western tradition is familiar with the Greek explanation of love Eros, Philia, Storge, Agape love.” GQ surveyed 889 people of all ages and backgrounds concerning love, and they learned the “exploration of modern love is a huge force in their lives. However, the way it is practiced is changing rapidly. Along with technology and culture, the survey shows moving from old norms and establishing newer ones like sexting.”
Exploring these studies, most westerners are familiar with various definitions of love. However, are westerners familiar with “God Is Love “? The meaning of love is rapidly changing along with our world. Many people confuse love and lust. Man’s ideas are continually changing, but not necessarily improving.
How do you change the nature of the universe God created for His purposes? Medically, you can change the gender you were born with on the outside, identifying with another gender.
However, Forensic Anthropology shows that our bones define our gender through DNA techniques. Your bones also define race and age at death. Your skeleton reveals the true birth gender.
Truth can be denied, but true evidence will never change! “God never changes.” 1 John 4:8
Changing the meaning of words and looks will not improve circumstances. Instead, it creates false information and confusion. Changing the meaning of marriage will not fix marital problems.
The true meaning of love will not change by a new definition of the word “love.” Man’s philosophy is continually changing leaving humanity with false hope and never knowing when what you have always believed will change. How then will you embrace life, because all you have lived for is continually changing? Everything changes but God is constant.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His love for you will never change. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but God’s words will never pass away. (Matt 24:35)
This is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1John 4:10)
The greatest love story there will ever be is Yeshua (Jesus). He never changes, and therefore His love for you remains the same. His love is alive in action, function, compassion, and is a continual burning love that never dies.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. Love never fails.” 1 Cor 13:4-7
If you know God’s love all other types of love flow from God’s pure love. Various loves of spouses, parents, children, friends and so forth.
God’s love is not confused with lust or perversion. If we humans acknowledge “God is love”, received and acted on God’s love, this world would be a better place.
The greatest love story ever recorded is “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3;16)
The true meaning of love is based on John 3:16. The greatest love story the world will ever know is “Jesus Loves You!”
God has given of Himself through signs, wonders, and miracles. His message of love and shalom is sent to the whole world. Although, there is a circulation of false love, many things will be blamed on God. Remember no other kind of love can love you like Yeshua. Every perfect gift comes from the father above.
