Houston based alliantgroup is recently announce one of their spring 2022 STEM Scholarship Award winners is Jefferson native Cadee Humphrey.
She was chosen among hundreds of applicants nationwide for this prestigious award and as a scholarship winner she is now an ambassador for STEM education, the Blue Heart Fund and her community of Jefferson.
“We wanted to highlight Cadee in the community as a role model in an effort to promote technical careers but also as a woman in STEM,” alliantgroup said in a press release last week. “We believe students like Cadee can help inspire the next generation to aspire to roles in STEM fields so the United States can remain a world leader in innovation.”
With the growing need for technical talent within the country and a diminishing talent pool, alliantgroup’s STEM Scholarship award has been our most successful effort in helping more kids achieve their dreams. Every year alliantgroup receives hundreds of applications from high school seniors around the country who are passionate about pursuing degrees and careers in STEM fields.
As an advocate for innovators everywhere, alliantgroup says they are proud to help light that spark for the next generation of professionals by developing the Blue Heart Fund STEM Scholarship Program.
“Cadee fully embodies alliantgroup’s mission for STEM education,” the group said. “She recently graduated as valedictorian of her class from Jefferson High School and also earned an Associate’s of General Science degree from Panola College, before leaving high school.”
In addition to her academic achievements, she was a member of her high school softball team for three years and was crowned Miss Marion County 2019.
“I feel extremely accomplished knowing I am a part of the next generation of nnovators. I have worked extremely hard the last four years and it feels great knowing my hard work is this beneficial to my future,” said Humphrey. “I love that I will be able to make a difference with my future degree and I am excited to share what I have to offer to the world.”
Cadee is one of 14 students chosen for this scholarship. She will attend the University of Texas at Tyler in the fall, where she plans to major in nursing and one day hopes to work in pediatrics.
