The Jefferson Lady Bulldog varsity basketball team went 4-2 over the past week after a positive showing in the McLeod Tournament.
Most recently, they topped Beckville on the road Tuesday night with a 43-35 final.
Jaida Bray led the attack with nine points and 13 rebounds.
Tauria Hood also scored nine points and landed four rebounds.
Kristen Thomas was close behind with eight points and six rebounds.
Amirie Prior had six points and four rebounds.
Destiny Kelly and Kielyn Schubert scored two points apiece.
The Lady Dawgs tipped off at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the McLeod Tournament and dropped their first game 48-7 to Bloomburg.
They then bounced back and won their next two games— 48-7 and 67-28 respectively.
The 48-7 win came over the McLeod JV squad. Hood and Thomas scored 14 apiece against the Lady Longhorns.
Jefferson suffered a 40-33 set-back loss to McLeod on Friday before topping Hooks 46-41 on Saturday.
Hood led the attack against the Hornets with 12 points and five rebounds.
Thomas scored ten points, Schubert had nine points, Keyasia Black landed six points and Bray chipped in five points.
The Lady Dawgs opened the Brook Hill Tournament Thursday against Union Grove. Results were not available as of press time.
After a busy weekend of tournament action, they will return home Tuesday to face Tatum.
