Update 12-31-2019, 10:45 a.m.:
Interim Jefferson Police Chief Jason Carroll provided an update on this story this morning.
According to Carroll, brothers Jadeon Williams (19) and Ja’Rion (17) were involved in a shooting early Monday evening leaving one with an injury to his leg and one to the other’s foot. Neither injury was life-threatening.
The two men returned to their home on MLK after the shooting.
At this time, the Jefferson PD do not have an exact location of the shooting, nor the identity of the shooter. The original report indicated the shooting was a drive-by, but that has been determined to be incorrect.
The brothers continue to be uncooperative with JPD.
Carroll said this is still in the early stages of the investigation and more information will be made available in the future.
