City, County Offices Closed to Public Starting Today

By V. Hugh Lewis II, publisher

All City and County offices are closed to the public stating today.

Judge Leward LaFleur and Mayor Pro Tem Victor Perot issued the orders at the end of last week closing all public access to the offices. Employees are there and are working however.

Those needing to pay water bills or needing other City functions, are to use the drop box on the front door of City Hall. Assistance can be offered through the glass door, but no one other than essential personnel are allowed inside.

The County is operating only through appointments. Those needing to conduct County related business need to call the office they need and schedule an appointment.

Neither the City nor the County will hold public meetings this week. LaFleur will continue his daily video updates however.
