Come In WE ARE REOPEN

COVID-19 Update

Social Distancing: On May 18 and May 26, Governor Greg Abbott issued Executive Orders to announce the second phase of the ongoing plan to open additional businesses and activities in Texas. This announcement expands upon the businesses and activities included in the first phase of the plan to Open Texas while minimizing the spread of COVID-19.

Community Efforts

Recently, we had the privilege to help bring smiles to the folks at Cypress Place Assisted Living in Jefferson. Tim Huff, w/ Marshall Home Care and Hospice & Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce, reached out to us at the chamber with an idea that he had to gather donations of shepherd’s hooks and bird feeders to put outside of the residents’ windows. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 pandemic they are restricted from having visitors and can get quite lonely at times.

We loved the idea of placing bird feeders outside their windows, at least they could have little flying visitors! We quickly hopped on board, and started getting donations. So far we have 12 shepherd hooks & 10 bird feeders. The Marion County Chamber of Commerce is proud to oversee this special project. We are still in need of donations for hooks, bird feed, hummingbird feed, & bird feeders. If you are interested in donating, please contact us at (903) 665-2672 or you can bring the donated items by the office. Our hours are Mon-Fri 9am-1pm and we are located at 120 E. Austin St. Jefferson. We greatly appreciate your help!
