Tuesday’s JISD School Board 6 p.m. meeting will heavily focus on the fall campus openings as members discuss amending the calendar, COVID-19 protocols, guidelines on reopening, and salary implications.
Per the agenda (below) the board will address:
- Swearing in of new ISD Police Chief
- Updates related to guidelines and recommendations from TEA and Governor Greg Abbott
- Approving Protocols Related to COVID-19 and the Start of School in the Fall
- Amending the 2020-21 School Calendar per recommendations from TEA
- Approval of Teacher Incentive Allotment Plan
- Continuation of agreement with Karnack ISD for High School Students
- Consideration of paying stipends to Sponsors/Coaches for Extra Duties which may be cancelled
- Consideration of Collect-Ed LLC Erate Services Agreement
- Appointing Official to calculate the Districts Effective Tax Rate
- Approval of the Region 8 Contract
- Discussion of Budget and Timeline for adoption
- Consideration of DIstricts Property and Casualty Insurance Bds
- Personnel – Retirements/Resignations, Hiring/Reassignments
