Update: Brookshire’s Responds. See Below initial story.

Brookshires/Jefferson COVID practices

I would like to share my, as well as several regular Brookshires/Jefferson patrons, displeasure with the recent lack of COVID-19 prevention practices.

The store policy for face protection is clearly indicated on each entrance door. We have found that not only the customers not wearing face protection, but also the cashiers and other staff not wearing face protection. Complaints to the store management were brushed aside as catering to the non-compliant customer’s wishes.

I find it extremely disheartening that this non-compliance is happening in Jefferson, but even more so with a valued company that clearly has taken the proper corporate stance on COVID prevention, but is allowing the Jefferson store to blatantly disregard corporate policy.

I and several more loyal customers to the Brookshires store in Jefferson will now drive on to Marshall and do business with Kroger, who is practicing strict prevention policies.
