The Marion County Commissioners Court will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, to adopt the 2020 Tax Rate and the 2021 Budget.
The proposed property tax rate and budget will raise $71,589 more in total property taxes than last year. The Commissioners have also proposed a Tax Rate of $0.578067 per $100 in valuation.
The meeting will be preceded by two public hearings, one on the proposed tax rate, and a second on the proposed budget.
In other business, the Commissioners will also:
- Adopt the District Clerk’s Records Archival Plan for 2021
- Adopt the County Clerk’s Records Archival Plan for 2021
- Establish the 2021 Compensation for the 276th and 115th District Court Reporters
- Adopt the 2021 Compensation for the County Auditor
- Discuss and Approve Salaries for Elected Officials as proposed in the 2021 Budget
- Approve the TCDRS Plan agreement for 2021
- Approving the 2020-21 TAC Health Benefit Pool Plan
- Approve the TxDOT Routine Airport Maintenance Program project ID M2119JFRS
