The City of Jefferson will hold public hearings on the proposed 2020 Tax Rate and 2020-21 Budget at a special meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The public hearings will begin at 5:30, and again at 5:45. The meeting to adopt will begin at 6 p.m.
The proposed budget and tax rate will raise more total property taxes than last year by $35,263, or 4.68%. The City has proposed a tax rate of $0.45 per $100 in valuation. This is a tax increase.
