Thanks for your support

To the Editor,

Hello!  A very big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Jefferson, Texas Adopt-A-Cop!!  Many people have come forward with donations to help us assist our Marion County Law Enforcement.

Made in the Shade (Angie Hudson & Wes Jones), along with Chad “The Crawfish Man”, and the many people who came to buy crawfish, a yard sign, or decal, made our crawfish boil fundraiser a huge success.

Fundraising efforts will be ongoing in order to meet the needs of our county’s Law Enforcement.

We are a newly formed organization in Jefferson with the mission of supporting our local Law Enforcement by assisting with the out-of-pocket expenses for required equipment not covered by their department.

Currently, each Jefferson police officer and Marion County Sherriff’s deputy must pay up to $1200 for their required equipment.

We recognize that this is a hardship not only on the officers, but also their families.  Some of the required items are a one-time expense (weapon) and some of the required items need periodic replacement (flashlight).

Our Marion County Law Enforcement agencies are here to protect and serve us, so we are asking for your support to serve them.

Your financial donation will help the officers who place their very lives at risk on a daily basis for us.

Thank you for your assistance and consideration.

Can’t help financially at this time?  Here are some other ways you can support Marion County Law Enforcement:

-Offering prayers for safety and protection

-Bringing snacks or food to the JPD station or MCSO

-Saying “Thank you” to an officer

Thank you, again, to everyone who has donated toward our Marion County Law Enforcement. Your gift and support is appreciated.

Wes Jones,

Jefferson, Texas Adopt-A-Cop-President
