Not forgotten…

Marion County Veterans, their families, and other residents took time out of their Memorial Day to pay tribute to the men and women of the American Armed Forces at Oakwood Cemetery. Paulette Cooper read “From Flanders Field” and Jim Finstrom read off the names of Marion County residents who lost their lives in the line of duty. The Marion County American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War posts, along with their Auxiliary’s, put on the annual program on Memorial Day. The ceremony ended with a 21 gun salute, the playing of “Amazing Grace” on the bagpies, and “Taps” on bugle.
