The residents of Ward 2 came to the polls in greater numbers this time around and selected Robin Moore as their representative for the next two years.
82 total votes were cast with 39 going to incumbent Tyrani Braddock and 43 to challenger Robin Moore.
At the end of the regular election in May, only 40 votes were cast in Ward 2 and a tie occurred. No city election had ended in a tie in the last 40 years according to retired city secretary Anita Perot and current city secretary Doris Hines.
Council will meet on Friday to canvas the election results and Moore will be sworn in at the next regular meeting.
