Helping Hand
Marshall Police Department Officer Caleb Caldwell, 26, took a few moments to help out Jefferson resident Joe Ford on Labor Day. Ford found himself stuck with a flat tire at Popeye’s in Marshall and was unable to change the tire. A few phone calls later and Caldwell showed up and changed the tire and followed him to a repair shop nearby.

Mauldin Final Expenses Fundraiser
Funds being raised for the Maulidn family
“On the morning of September 12, Brandon and his little brother had a horrible car accident on the way to go fishing with their grandfather.
Brandon unfortunately did not make it. He leaves behind two children one being just two weeks old, and his wife Cheyenne.
We are just trying to ease the burden on his family with all these unexpected final costs and anything to help his wife and children.
Any amount of help would be appreciated. To know him was to love him and this has been a huge shock to his whole family and community.” https://gofund.me/e31ddbad

McGriff expenses fundraiser
Misty Davis has set up a gofundme for Rick and Ash and their family at https://gofund.me/038cb6f6.
“Y’all know me and y’all know how much my brother and his family mean to me.
He is my world, my best friend, and the best brother, daddy, and husband anyone could ask for.
There is nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone, no questions asked.
He needs us now so I humbly ask for your help.
Above all, please pray for him and our family! My brother is the most selfless person I know.
His beautiful wife is always busy trying to help others, no matter what they may face personally.
I may get in trouble for this but that’s okay, I’ll deal with her… I know they would never ask, but the reality is, my brother has a lengthy recovery ahead and I would love for us to be able to help them so they can focus on just that.
They have been by one another’s side for many many years.
Their love is beautiful and “goals” as the kids would say.
He is in the hospital and she needs to be with him, so I have set up this account to hopefully take some burden and stress off of them during his recovery. If you can donate, we would appreciate it more than you know.
But most importantly, please pray for my brother and our family. This battle with Covid may be a long one but it is one we will win, in Jesus name…. Thank you all!”
