August 13, 1974 – September 5, 2021

Jonathan Michael Bollinger, 47, Jefferson, was born August 13, 1974 in Marion, Ohio. He passed away on September 5, 2021 in Longview. 

He had lived in Jefferson for 17 years, moving from Seagoville, Texas. He was an equipment operator and worked for Marion County Road and Bridge, Precinct 1. 

Jonathan was a member of Mims Fire Department and Old Crows Car Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and working on hot rods and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Devonna L. Morris and daughter, Desirea Dawn Bollinger.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Deanna Bollinger of Jefferson; two children, Michael Wayne Bollinger and Jessica Rene Bollinger; siblings, Jode Shelton and husband, Jerry of Aberdeen, Ohio, Adam Ratliff and wife, Liz of Jefferson and Carl Ratliff of Bucyrus, OH; other relatives, Uncle Dan Bollinger and wife, Connie of Morral, Ohio, Uncle Dave Bollinger and wife, Joyce of Belville, OH, Aunt Dawn Burdine of Green Camp, Ohio; in-laws, Tina Arnett and husband, Jason of Ferris, Texas and Jennifer Bossier and husband, Jan of Mineola, Texas; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

There will be a benefit, sponsored by his friends, on October 23, 2021, at Ashley Mountain, 377 Sloan Dr, Avinger, Texas 75630. 

A BBQ lunch will be available. The benefit will also include a Car and Jeep Show. All cars, trucks, jeeps, motorcycles and military are welcome. 

The top three in each category and a People’s Choice Awards will be given out. 

There will be a 50/50, live auction and bake sale.
