Casino Night

Jefferson’s Krewe of Hebe will hold their annual Casino Night to raise funds for Marion County Toys for Tots starting at 6 p.m. November 13. After 5 attire is required. Tickets, which are $60 for indivuals and includes dinner are $60; Tickets without dinner are $35 single and $65 for couples. Any ticket holder who brings a new, unwrapped toy worth $10 or more will receive $50 in extra chips for game play. The chips do not hold any actual monetary value. Enchanted Forest

Jefferson Lion’s Club is taking orders for the 2021 Enchanted Forest in Lion’s Club Park.  Trees will be setup November 16-17, with a decorating party from 2-4pm November 21. Undecorated trees are $65. A limited number of decorated trees are available for $125. Only 20 Decorated Wreath’s are available this year for $50 and can be taken home for the holidays. The Lion’s Club has indicated they are getting trees from the same supplier as 2020, so should be 6-7 foot North Carolina Frasier Firs. Christmas Blanket & Sock Drive

FRESH is accepting donations of new blankets and socks which will be presented to our local elders in the nursing facilities here in Jefferson on December 19. Help us be of good cheer and give back in this holiday season. Donations will be accepted until December 17th. Items can be dropped off at Riverside Bank, 371 S. Walcott, or with any FRESH member. Electronics Disposal

Rotary Club of Jefferson is sponsoring an electronics recycling service from 9-1 on November 20 at First National Bank, downtown. 

Christmas Parade

The Jefferson Lions Club and the Marion County Chamber of Commerce are now accepting applications for the 2021 Jefferson Christmas Parade. Entry forms and the $10 entry fee should be turned into the Chamber prior to November 25. For more information, contact the Chamber at 903-665-2672. The parade will go from Walnut to Austin to Market to Henderson and end at Lion’s Club Park for the lighting of the Enchanted Forest.

Feed the Force

Jefferson, Texas Adopt-A-Cop is asking Jeffersonians to help FEED THE FORCE which encourages you to take snacks, baked goods, chili/soup, etc. to our Marion County Law Enforcement personnel. We appreciate everything they do! Let us serve those who protect and serve us.

Adopt-A-Cop Meeting

The monthly meeting for Jefferson’s Adopt-a-Cop will be 5:30p.m. Wednesday, November 17, at the Historic Jefferson Railway Depot. Everyone is invited to attend.

Cumberland Presbyterian Hosts Celebrate Recovery
