Shalom Chaverim
There is a true story about God giving the world the greatest gift ever. God gave us His Son Yeshua the Messiah; redeemer of our souls.
How do I know it is true? Yeshua is truth. I had a personal experience with Him when I was lost, lonely, heartbroken, hurting and had no reason to live. Yeshua showed up, and His presence was so radiant and peaceful. He gave me love, hope, and a supernatural Shalom (peace) that the world cannot give. He is closer to you than you can imagine.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee , and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)
Looking around at all the pretty lights tells us there is light in the darkness. It is a light that lights up the path that leads to life.
I am the light of the world (John 8:12 )
Whether Hanukkah, or Christmas, the lights remind us Messiah is the festival of lights. He is the reason for celebrating. Messiah is a miracle sent from heaven to us as a gift from God that keeps giving. All over the world people are celebrating the wonderful works of God together.
This is a time of Celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas, giving thanks to God. Hanukkah declares victory and cleansing for our temple to be free for God to dwell in us.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God ,and the spirit of God dwelleth in you ? (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 )
Christmas is about Yeshua’s birth. God sent Yeshua that we can have spiritual freedom to worship Him, having our temples cleansed for him to dwell in. The celebration is about God and Messiah!
Isiah prophesied– Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign;Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son ,and shall call his name Immanuel. ( Isaiah 7-14)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor ,The mighty God,The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.( Isaiah 9:6)
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord .(Luke 2:11)
What a glorious day when the angels declared the birth of our Savior; the greatest love shown to humanity. The angel declared FEAR NOT the Messiah is come. Whether Hanukkah or Christmas, it’s about God and Yeshua.
The date of Messiah’s birth is not stated in the gospels, or the Torah, but His birth has been estimated by various methods. This includes the description of Yeshua’s birth. Messiah was born in Bethlehem ( Matthew 2:1 ), and Gods prophets declared Messiah’s birth.
The birth of Messiah is found in historical events. Yeshua’s birth is associated in the time of Herod the Great, as well as through the nativity. (Luke 2:8)
Suddenly there was with the angel a company of the heavenly host praising God and saying Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:13-14 )
Oh what a marvelous, joyous day when Messiah was born! He was born on the appointed day and will return on the appointed day. Messiah’s birth was the most important message to this world. The most important decision a person will ever make in this life, is to believe and receive Him as their Savior.
Choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19) I am the way truth and life no one comes to the father except through me. (John 14:6)
