Help Educate

From Jessica Nelson: Once again this homeschool mama is asking for local businesses to open their doors to some pretty fantastic kiddos! These kids are eager to learn, and they would love to come and have a tour of your business, or even if you have a trade you would like to teach them we will find a place to host you. If that sounds like something you are interested in please reach out to Shannon Cox, Dacy Perez, or Jessica Nelson

Genealogical Society Meets

Harold Blair has graciously agreed to provide the program for the January 8, Marion County Genealogical Society meeting. MCGS meets at 10 a.m. at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on the first Saturday of each month when that day doesn’t fall on a special day.

His topic will be a discussion of the book:

We Band of Angels: The Untold Story of the American Women Trapped on Bataan by Elizabeth Norman.

Harold asks that you bring any remembrances of H. R. Brantley that you might care to share.

If you hurry, you might be able  to read this book before the meeting.  There is a copy in the Jefferson Carnegie Library.  Copies are also available from Amazon as ebook or print versions.

All are invited to hear this discussion Saturday morning.
